Report Bullying Kick Off
Having a kick off after the assembly is a great idea to keep the momentum up and to reinforce the understanding of speaking up when students witness bullying.

First
Banner - Use brown paper roll about 6 feet by 3 feet
print in large letters   SPEAK UP
then get the students to sign the banner

Second
In Class Discussion - Ask the following questions to your students following the assembly...

1. Mr. Jordan related oxygen to bullying. How do we take the oxygen away from the bully?

2. How can we demonstrate respect towards other students?

3. What does Complacent mean? What does Complicit mean?

4. If you want authority you must be...?  What things can we do to be responsible?

5. What is the difference between tattling, ratting, snitching or telling?

Third
T-Shirt Day
Get the students to wear the same color t-shirt to reinforce unity

Fourth
Postcard Day
A postcard campaign is a great way to grab the attention. Get your students to create postcards about bullying. Then place these cards in the hallway for about a month. After mail your postcards to local stores and have them place them in high traffic areas. The more postcards you send, the better!

Fifth
Beading
Beading is fun and provides a way for young people to wear their anti-bullying message in a cool way. Beads that have letters are great so students can spell words like speak up, stop bullying, care and respect.
